Dungeness Crab is the tastiest of all the crabs and the backbone of Westport's seafood industry. Commercial fishing boats come from all over the west coast to participate in this valuable, sustainable fishery. The season is at its peak from December through March though the local fleet harvests and sells its product through September. In the summer, you'll find fisherman regularly selling fresh crab from their boats each weekend in the marina. Crab is available live, cooked, and locally canned.
Fresh Dungeness crab is available at the Westport Marina and local seafood markets 10 months a year.
