Ever dreamed of a life on the high seas? Well, now’s your chance to live it—at least for a weekend! Rusty Scupper’s Pirate Daze are descending upon Westport Marina, and it’s bringing all the swashbuckling excitement you can handle. Come for the pirates, stay for the food, and leave with a bit of pirate loot!
‘Arr’ you ready? What to Expect at Pirate Daze
From the moment you step into the Marina, you’ll be transported to the Golden Age of Piracy. Authentic pirate encampments and historical reenactors will make you feel like you’re on a real pirate ship, complete with cannon fire, clashing swords, and the lively refrains of sea shanties.
Activities and Highlights:
Pirate Encampments and Battles: Experience authentic buccaneers with historical reenactors creating truly authentic swashbuckling scenes.
Costume Contests: Show off your best pirate accent and attire for a chance to win prizes in various categories, including best dressed and best pirate speak, where participants unleash their best "Arrr!," “Ahoy, maties!” and “Shiver me timbers!”
Music and Performances: Be entertained by sea shanties and pirate tunes from bands like Tugboat Bromberg and Coming Up Threes, mesmerizing acrobatic shows by , and fire dancers.
Food and Market: Feast on delicious pirate fare and shop for unique nautical treasures, and hand-made goods at the pirate market.
What to Bring
Dress the Part: Embrace the pirate theme with a costume, but remember to wear comfortable shoes for walking.
Bring the whole Family: Pirate Daze is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages. Dogs are welcome.
Stay Hydrated: With all the excitement, it's easy to forget to drink water. Keep yourself hydrated—that ol’ bottle of rum won't quench your thirst!
Sun Protection: Hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses are recommended for daytime activities.
Cash: For food, merchandise, and activity fees, although some vendors may accept cards or Venmo.

This event is FREE to attend for all ages! To maximize your fun all weekend long, consider booking overnight accommodations in town.

Parking and Safety
Parking: Available at designated areas near the marina. Early arrival is recommended to secure a spot close to the festivities.
Safety: Life jackets are available for children at four lockers around the marina. Attendees are encouraged to follow safety guidelines, especially around docks and boats.
